What format is their data?  We've got custom comm links to 2 EDI partners,
plus an SAA link used internally.

In setting up these connections, it took several weeks to get the programs
written to the point where we could receive and send data cleanly.  Uh,
they are NOT going to get it running this week.  MUAHAHAHA!

Communications programming is detail work--  not really complicated, but
you have to understand what the protocol you are using is going to
send/receive.  If you send ACK what will the other end do in return?

Check out the SAA communications programming manual; there are some
examples there that might be adaptable.

Once again, it always depends on what the other end is sending and what
they expect in return.
