Raj, why not compromise and have an option field, but only support option 4 for delete. You can still let the other screen fields allow direct updating. Drop the command key activated delete. That way you save a transaction; the user does not have to make a separate selection after pressing F4. They can make the selections on the top screen and confirm the deletions on the second screen. For updates and adds they "power input" on the top screen as in your original idea.
