When you signon, try using the Change Directory command: ie. CD /mydirectory If this doesn't work, first try changing the name format to 1. quote site namefmt 1 CD /mydirectory then you should be able to manuever around the IFS no problem. I haven't been able to get back to the library structure after changing to the namefmt 1, but that's no biggie. I can still access libraries with the directory strucutre: /QSYS.LIB/mylib.LIB Good luck! Bradley V.
