I myself started as a lowly operator, I trained as a PC Tech 15 years ago but no one was hiring so I got a job just printing reports like a little robot half a day. I mostly self taught my self everything about the AS400, (Those old days of 24 hour system saves on reel to reel, and 48 restores ya gotta do something) and my company is very pleased with my performance. If you give someone a fish, you feed him a day, if you teach them to fish, your whole company gets fish! I am considering starting a program here to do that and would like all the "experts" out there who may have done something similar to share their experiences.
