For SURE !!!!! That reminded me of a situation we ran across several years ago at a shop I was at. There was a LARGE physical that had something like 120+ logicals over it (I know; don't EVEN ask - I had NOTHING to do with this <BG>). It was used in an EOM job that ran for 4-5 hours. Removing the logicals FIRST cut the job to under 10 minutes !!!! As for members, that is a good one too ! 3rd party sales analysis we had would create a member for a user based on a "view" they selected to inquire with. Theory was, I guess, that they would setup their 3 or 4 favorites, as would all other users and everyone would have most of these in common... In reality these files had THOUSANDS of members !!! We came up with a program to "nuke" them every so often and let users recreate them (they never really new since this was happening under the covers, plus turnover was SO high...)
