You have a valid point. But I never saw a contract programmer work on the day to day trouble shooting and minor program modifications that in-house programmers work on, (unless they wrote the stuff in the first place). They are usually given some project. Also the contract programmers I have met and worked with have many years of experience in programming and business and/or are an expert on "Packaged" software. Yes they are an asset or should I say a resource. Just my humble opinion. Christopher K.
