Well,,, yes you will have to change all, but that's nothing to do.. and you do not have to recompile... How are you going to handle special forms ? The laser printers don't care if you change to new size, although you might hear some squawking about the number of lines per page and it's hard to read,etc,etc... I have use the "shorter" paper for years... But when you switch, you can just about bank on some major bitching until everybody gets used to new format. The 8LPI will be the biggest bitch... but once they get used to it, everything will be fine. My system wide setting are: length=68 width =132 LPI=8 CPI=10 ovrflw=66 Now if you do ANY compressed printing(8lpi 15cpi 198) you will really hear the noise... That really gets to be a pain but maybe you don't have to deal with that. Remember special forms like checks,invoices,etc... you will need to tweak the CL to handle overrides to that size form(if you don't already). +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
