Check out

http://www.bvstools.com/ftp.html

for an example of using DOS FTP. This shows an example for one of my
shareware objects, but it's the same method. Just replace the file name
with the one you are using.

Hello,
What is the command for transfering a file from a DOS session? I've
transfered files using the client-access method but in this case they want
to follow this process:
        1. Download the above file to your Pc.
        2. Create a SAVF on the AS/400 named SPANISHCH
        3. Connect using FTP from a dos session to your as400
        4. Change directory(library) to where the SAVF has been
created.
        5. Set transfer mode to binary in the FTP session by typing
BINARY
        6. transfer by using command PUT spanishch
        7. On the AS/400 RSTLIB SAVLIB(CIMSPANISH) DEV(*SAVF)
SAVF(yourlibrary/SPANISHCH)
        8. CIMSPANISH contains the program STATREMADV, put on libl and
run.

The SPANISHCH is the name of the file. My question is step 3. I could go to
DOS screen and type FTP and which changes the DOS directory to FTP> Then
what?
Thanks in advance,
Art
