Basically you have to look and see if CPF55268 is on your system in 5769SS1. If it is you have to down load SF56567. This will supersed CPF55268. Then you can do: GO PTF and take option 8. Not checking this first will cause major problems as Al knows. A rule of thumb to follow, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT ARE GIVEN TO YOU. Most of the time loading PTFs is a fools job but some times IBM has hookers in the process. IE. You get 2 CDs, the 2nd CD is NOT used unless you have certain products on your system. Therefore, you will NOT be promted for the 2nd CD. There is a NOTE in the cover letter on the CD for that. I must admit, I missed the NOTE on the 2nd CD myself. I believe IBM, should put special instructions up front at the beginning of the instructions so people will read. Peter H.
