Scotty, I use LPR to send spool files to a 6262-14 printer on an MVS system. I am not sure how closely related the commands are, but here are the particulars for my setup: PRTQ Defined in MVS TCPIP Parms as locprt1 DESTTYP *OTHER TRANSFORM *YES MFRTYPMDL *WSCST WSCST QSYS/QWPDEFAULT DESTOPT 'f' On an MVS System, the DESTOPT must be typed as a single quoted lower case f. This is a filter indicating that MVS is to print the file as a series of lines. (Actually, I have never been able to get the MVS system to recognize ANY dest option!) This LPR command produces exactly what I send (i.e. no extraneous garbage).
