communication question project update

well, today i talked to our client that had the communication project a
couple of months ago.  to those that don't remember, we needed to get a
project off the ground in short order to do an async file transfer from
g/m to one of their suppliers for sequencing data.  they'd been working
with another software vendor, and it had been going on for several
months with no results, and g/m was threatening to take the business
away from them.  they had to prove to g/m in about 10 days that they
could do the project, and they were desperate.

so i put out a plea to the list for help!!

pat townsend said his software would work and we'd have the project done
within a week or he'd eat a toad...  well, that was a challenge i
couldn't turn down, and even though it ended up taking 8 days, the major
reason was some missinformation from g/m.

well, they couldn't be happier!  the project is live now after g/m was
closed for several weeks for retooling, and it's going great.  

so patrick, i guess i'll let the bucket of toads i've been saving in the
backyard go.  we done good.
