That is one thing that IBM asked me about when I reported the problem. I checked this VERY carefully and there are no mismatched parameters. There are no IMPORT/EXPORTs either - not a procedure or service program. The problem is very intermittent also. It happens with two programs primarily which are called frequently by other programs.

We sometimes get reports of "mysterious" MCH3601 errors. They
are almost always caused by mismatched parameters between
called programs or by mismatched IMPORT/EXPORT. We have yet
to see a "mysterious" MCH3601 situation caused by a defect in
the ILE RPG compiler or run-time.
