As I just noted to Carl, my concern was in being pushed by our suppliers to 
enter
P.O.s via a browser on their site, thus loosing ALL of the control and tracking
that happens automatically now (our PO app faxes the PO to them...).

Oh I am fairly CLUE LESS about other midrange systems other than the AS/400. 
I've
been working with the A/400 since NEARLY day one (AMAZING looking back on that
just HOW far the AS/400 has come !!!). I was brought in to get this company OFF
of the Unix box and onto the AS/400 with 3rd party software.
