> I have created a file using DDS. > By default the DSPFFD of that file say s 'journelled as NO' > I want to make the journelled 'YES' > How? You need to start journalling using the start journal physical file command: STRJRNPF. Before doing that, though, you'll have to create a journal receiver (CRTJRNRCV) and a journal (CRTJRN) -- in that order; the receiver needs to exist for you to create the journal. I think SQL handles all this for you under the covers. You should also have a journal receiver management strategy in place before you start doing this, for which I would refer you to the manuals: Backup and Recovery (SC41-5304-02); DB2 for AS/400 programming (SC41-5701-02) and probably others. Those are V4R3 book numbers. Oh yes: you'll probably also want to think about using commitment control in you application.
