We do this all of the time. We have laptops that connect via the lan when they are in the office, and over a modem when they are remote. They use Client Access to do so. HOWEVER, Client Access always thinks they are using the lan. We do this using IBM's 8235 box and the associated software. I think the 8235 is discontinued and went back to the company that originally made it, Shiva Lan rover. I need to be able to dial into the office either from home or on the road using client access AND be able to connect via ethernet card from the same lap top computer. Client access gives you no option to set both up that I can find and the installation program defaults to its predefined subdirectory. I need to be able to set up two different connect types.
