There could be a problem that something is not going down like it should. Before you pwrdwnsys do you ENDSBS *ALL *IMMED ??? And when you PWRDWNSYS do you do it *IMMED or *CNTRLD? If you do it *IMMED it basically just ends everything and powers down. If you do it *CNTRLD then it sends requests for all jobs to end, and waits for the time limit specified in DELAY on the PWRDWNSYS before it dumps them. Here's something interesting, our QPWRDWNLMT is set for 600 (seconds) but the default for PWRDWNSYS OPTION(*CNTRLD) is 3600. So, if I were to do a PWRDWNSYS OPTION(*CNTRLD) I would get that error if a subsystem or job didn't want to end, for whatever reason because the PWRDWNSYS wouldn't dump the job for 3600 seconds (one hour). mike poweleit wrote: > We IPL our V4r2 AS400 system once a week @ 1AM Monday morning.
