                It is my understanding that COMMON either has, or is about
to mail the ballots for the 1999 election.  PLEASE look at the 1998 Annual
Report, look at the biographies of the slate of candidates that has been
brought forward, think about where COMMON is today, Where it has been, and
most important where it is going, and then VOTE !!
                This is a TOP three out of, get seated at this fall
conference for the 3 year term.  Remember this so that if you only feel
strongly about two candidates, only vote for two, your third vote could
force one of your two to not get seated !!!

common@common.org, or call someone...
                BUT PLEASE PARTICIPATE IN THIS ELECTION !!!!!

I completely and emphatically agree with and echo Jeff's sentiments.
COMMON is in very serious trouble right now and they need all the help they
can get.  I have read the material (It arrived yesterday) and you can
easily see the hand picked candidates by the folks that do not want any
change.  Read between the lines, ask questions, and VOTE!!!!

By the way, because they are now requiring your name and signature on every
ballot, the paid staff will now know who is for and against proposals that
affect them.  Hmmm, why whould they want to know that!!!  So much for fair,
unbiased, and free elections.
