• Subject: DBCS Data for Japan?

Hello all!

I recently got a mail from a user of one of my tools and he wants it to
accept the CCSID of 5035. Now, the only place I am moving data from their
machine is into a temp file that I create on the fly in QTEMP.

Does anyone have any ideas of how this can be done? I looked into the CCSID
parameter of CRTPF, but it says it ignores this field on *DATA type files.

Would the ICGDTA keyword have anything to do with it? It wasn't quite clear
what this does from the help text.

I guess what is happening is when I copy their data into my temp file,
certain text must be getting corrupted since I am not using DBCS files.

Thanks!
