Since you said "lately" I definitely agree.  Even if you had said "ever"
I _might_ be inclined to agree.

What are they trying to do?  Make sure that no one could possibly learn
about the AS/400 and make use of it?  Make sure the AS/400 dies in the
marketplace because of that?  Sounds absurd but I sure don't get it.

Replacing paper manuals with CDs is one thing, but not even putting the
info on an orderable CD?  That is absolutely unreal.
