I worked on a Y2K project where the dates in the files were back dated 28
years. Every time a date must be printed or displayed, the 28 years must be
added to the date in the data file. Remember to subtract the 28 years
whenever a system date is used in the program, including the date from the
program status data structure. Dates stored as character fields are the most
challenging, especially when you need to add 28 years in a query. Good luck.
