Please be aware that not everything in an AS/400 query carries over into SQL,
most notably the query report layout.  I've been burned several times trying to
convert queries into SQL.  If your query is outputting to a datafile, and not
printer output, you may have better success.  Given your admission that you're
not very strong in SQL, I'd proceed very cautiously.  Also, I'm not certain that
converting *qrydfn to SQL will convert joins optimally; I seem to remember being
burned on converting these types of queries as well.  From the "DB2 for AS/400

be transformed into query-management-supported SAA functions, and some cannot be

Different, and possibly unacceptable, output can be produced from derived
information even when there are no transformation problems.  Query management
may provide different defaults for functions that cannot be specified, or use
successfully transformed choices differently.
