V4R2 to V4R4 SMTP Problems

Hi ...

Just a heads up to those of you using your AS/400 with Domino and/or the
SMTP
server on the /400.

We installed V4R4 over the weekend with no apparent problems.  On Monday
we
experienced problems with the SMTP server on the AS/400 shutting down.
When
SMTP shuts down your connection to the rest of the world is gone - no
email in
from or out to the internet.

We are on Domino 4.6.5.  Our ISP provides our POP3 mail service which is
then
forwarded to Domino.  We were getting AS/400 messages - CPC1235, TCP2061

and CPC1125 which indicated user QTCP had issued end job request for the

SMTP server.

IBM had us downloaded and install 3 PTF's which fixed the problem - They
are:

5769SS1 ... SF53894

5769TC1 ... SF58088 and SF57811

This fixed the problem.
