• Subject: Printing on a postscript printer

I have an HP postscript printer attached to an ethernet LAN. I want to
generate the postscript commands on the AS/400 and send them to the printer
to be interpreted. However, if I define it as a postscript printer the
AS/400 tries to convert it first.

I have had some success with defining the printer as a 2390. The page prints
fine except I first get 6 or 8 pages with one or two strange characters on
each page.

Is there a way to define the printer device so that it will just send the
text without adding any control codes?
