Thanks for all the replys for the User Profile problem running Batch. The
client is in Australia so it took a long time to get a response because of
the time zones.
Why this guy wants to run with his users having a 40K storage limit
is a puzzle to me. Besides that, he received an MCH3601 error with this user
profile and wanted the message itself, MCH3601, edited to better define the
problem. NO WAY would I edit a system message. I don't know if any of you
guys have. I have my own U-type messages I'll work with but not a message
starting with a 'M'. I think if you start changing system messages, nobody
will know what your talking about.
Guess I'm letting off some steam here.

Art,

Could it be that the user has some old spool files out there from previous
jobs? If so, this could probably easily add up to 40K.

Greetings,
Having a problem with a user profile running Batch. When this user
runs a SBMJOB he gets a pointer error, MCH3601. To get around this I changed
his Maximum Allowed Storage on his User Profile to 100K, it was 40K. What is
strange is there are other user profiles setup with a Maximum Allowed
Storage of 40K and the Batch process works for them. It is just this one
user that had to be changed to 100K to get it to work. I can't find any
difference in the profiles. What else could cause this?
They don't want to use *nomax for storage allowed.
