Hi,

NEWS/400 had an article (with code) a year or two ago that does just this. I 
think it is in the archives on their website, www.news400.com, but if you have 
their magazine on cd, it is on there as well.

I thought you wanted to tell the users something...i.e. system will be down
on this Sunday for backups.  What you want is display information for each
user like department or personal info or something?  I think you may be able
to intercept at the routing data entry a program that would display
something before the initial program was run....I am looking at doing

        What do you mean by User information?  Customized to each user?  
        We've modified our screen to display the next scheduled downtime.  
        IBM documents this well.
