Larry,

>The handbook does not say. It says min 4 max 10 per set but not how many sets.

From the sales manual for a 9406-310, under feature #6512, in part it
says:

"A minimum of four drives of the same capacity are needed for a valid
configuration using the RAID-5 disk unit controller. A maximum of two
arrays are allowed per controller, with a maximum of ten drives
allowed per array. All drives in an array must be of the same
capacity. A 1.03GB, 1.96GB and 4.19GB disk unit can be RAID-5
protected with this controller. A maximum of 16 disk units are
supported per controller."

So I'd say you can only have 2 sets per 6512 card. You can up to 5
cards on the 310.
