To lock it from all, have a startup job grab ahold of it.  Such as a NEP that 
does a RCVMSG.  We have two users that want all of their messages sent via 
SNDDST into Notes, this uses RCVMSG.  You could write one that would monitor 
the message queue and reroute the message to all workstation message queues 
they 
are signed on to.

Or change their signon program to do a CHGMSGQ *USRPRF DLVRY(*HOLD).  Now the 
message queue will not be locked by any of the sessions.  Of course they won't 
get beeped either.

I don't have access to an AS/400 right now to try this, so does anyone
remember?

When I sign on at a second device, I get a message "Message queue is
allocated
to another job".

Now the question is, if I go back and sign off at the first device, do I now
get
the messages breaking at the second one?
