I'm can't start to describe all the functions, but I'll give you a brief
summary:

Excellent cross reference tool. You set up the libraries you want to cross
reference and it cross references all objects, down to the field level inside
all
files and programs. If you need to add a field to a file (hold on to your hat
because this is hard to believe) you change your file definition and tell
Hawkeye
to recompile the file, and during the process you can tell it to recompile all
the programs to. Hawkeye backs up your file, creates the new file (including
all
the logicals), then it recompiles all the programs that are affected by any of
the file changes (physical or logical), and it maps your existing data back to
the new file for you. If Hawkeye runs into any problems with the files, it puts
everything back the way it was. This is a GREAT feature and a BIG time saver.

There are also functions for security audits, a lot of various functions to help
anyone programming on an AS/400. They have 30 day evaluation period, so I would
suggest getting the software and giving it a try.

Another nice thing about the company, they have a customer support department
that is 2nd to none. They are always glad to help with questions and if you
don't call them, they will call you and see how things are going.
