Same thing happened to me. In S36 a file was called X.INRECV and there was an OVRDBF BSRECV X.INRECV and the S36 program opened BSRECV. Well, when bringing this program up to date, I wanted to get rid of the override (to simplify logic) and got an error when compiling the F-Spec telling an invalid character in the file name. I wound up just renaming the file X_INRECV and was done with it.
