But it doesn't say that.  It says for additional IP addresses it is $10 a
pc.

Now that's a stretch.  Buying the internet sharing software is for one
thing.  Sharing the internet over one connection.  Tools can be used to
steal hubcaps, but they are not advertised as such, plus they do many other
things that they are intended for.  

Now, you could relate it to buying a slim jim (for opening car doors, not
the beef stick), but you can't buy them just anywhere.

I'd like to see the exact quote from your ISP that you think that relates to
this matter.  I quoted in my mail the two FAQs from @home that sort of
relate, and neither had anything to do with networking your cable
connection.  I think that you're interpreting it wrong or you read it wrong.
There is a difference between running a server and sharing the connection.
