I wouldn't necessarily say that expensive software equates to better 
quality... Some of the most expensive ERP software available wouldn't even 
make it out of our unit testing... And I have seen less expensive software 
that is more stable.  The real problem that people need to realize is that 
when you write software for a specific company it is easy to catch a major 
portion of the bugs(hopefully all), but when you have many different 
companies all using your software in a slightly different manner, with 
different needs and expectations the code becomes more complex and harder to 
troubleshoot.  So the question becomes which is more acceptable less 
flexibility or more complex code, knowing that the more complex the code the 
less likely all the bugs will be caught pre-release.
