"Michele Reinkemeyer" <mreinkemeyer@mbsbooks.com> on 12/13/99 01:01:35 PM Here is the problem: We have customers doing a backup nightly, but since it backups up one file in particular (their web file) no one can access their web site during this time. Possible solution?: To everything else suggested, I would consider using a save while active. This sets pointers in the files but also only puts a 15 to 20 minute lock on the files in the whole library. Also consider using CPYF of whole file to another duplicate file called Web-Backup, if it is not too huge, because CPYF does not lock an object. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
