I have been researching this also.  Is there a way to run through a
library and download every file in that library?

If they are already in EBCDIC text format (i.e. does not contain any
packed decimal or binary data), you could FTP the files down to your PC.
You can write a script to control the FTP process (if you have to
download the files several times).
