Stuart, I have seen the MCH3601 error in conjunction with a SAVSYS...Had a damaged LAN DEVD in QSYS and it issued the message in conjunction with the save of configuration data. If you go to the JOBLOG, and determine what library it was backing up, are there any damaged objects in that library?
