I am almost certain I remember getting this, because I remember
double-clicking on something (I know, I know) and nothing happened. I
looked at the file name and remember thinking how strange it was that an
.exe file would have a name that suggested a picture. Then I deleted the
email... but I had already double-clicked!!

Anyone know how to determine if you have the pic4u.exe virus?

With all this talk of viruses, I downloaded the latest McAfee today, and all

Al,

pic4u.exe was on the TV news the other night. It comes as an attachment on
your e-mail. You click on it and absolutely nothing happens. They then
changed the PC's clock to 11:59:30, 12/31/1999 and we watched. At midnight
the screen went black and the person said "We can tell you from experience
that the disk drive in this machine is now empty. pic4u.exe is a very nasty
virus."

Merry Christmas to all, and a Thousand More.

We hear that the AS/400 has never had a virus. Is this true for the IFS?

IMHO, the AS/400 natively is virus proof. It is clearly possible for the
IFS to be a carrier of a virus.

Is there some thing that prevents the IFS from being trashed by pic4u.exe
for instance?

Booth, I don't know what this program is.

Merry Christmas to all, and a have a Happy (Uneventful) New Years.

Al
