Ouch. I feel for you. That is why I always RTVCLSRC from QSYS/QSTRUP into QSYS/QCLSRC, then I copy this source to QGPL/QCLSRC and make modifications there and compile it to QGPL. Then I change the system value QSTRUPPGM to point to QGPL. Then I can always go back and look at the original IBM supplied QSTRUP. Unfortunately, this doesn't help you now.
