Methinks you're missing the point: IF the AS/400 remains tied to RPG, it
WILL be "dead". It might still be produced and used, but it won't be growing
and thriving.

Look around; the world is talking about Windows 2000 and Linux and Java.
Those folks down in Maryland who are writing the software to control the
Hubble Space Telescope don't even know what an AS/400 is.
