We have some of the IBM industrial station PC's with touchscreens at a few
plants.  They work pretty well most of the time - we don't seem to have much
trouble with dirt on them.  What seems to happen is that after the first week or
two it's mainly just the "casual" users using them - the more frequent folks
tend to go back to the keyboard/mouse.  Our folks are handling cloth, so we
probably don't get as much of a dirt problem as a lot of others might see,
either.  You definitely need to do that pilot, though.

should not be an issu. Anyway, before commiting a lot of $ to it, we would like
to try it on a limited scale (1 screen). And I dont want to discard this
possibility just because of the "possibility" of dammage caused by dirtyness. If
this project gets caned, it will be because we "proved"
that is was not viable.

So it SOUNDS good and I want to do a pilot to see if it WORKS good.
