Sorry Eric,
I just suggested that it may interesting to buy an IBM NT or (Linux) server
to complement the AS/400.
For example Egghead recently had a number of new boxed IBM Netfinity 7000
servers which sold at $960 and $68 shipping.Included 9 gig HD and 256 meg
memory.I purchased two of these-because in NZ they sell for aboubt 30K
each.(US list is over 10k)
Because they did not offer overseas shipping direct I got mine freighted to
a good US Shipping agent
and seafrieghted out.
You have to keep on watching--a lot of the IBM Netfinity 7000 servers
coming thru of late have no hard drives and are now reaching the $1200 mark
but are still brand new --just one of the IBM options available.
cheers Dave
