Apart from that, and >the collection of customer information, does it really offer anything >new over telephone ordering/mail order? Speaking as a consumer, I would MUCH rather order online than by telephone or mail, IF the ordering system works properly. Sunday afternoon I spent probably over an hour online at Amazon.com searching for various books and videos, ordering over $125 worth of stuff. It's much easier to search through a website than through a hardcopy catalogue. Online ordering is faster than mail. If it works right it's much less prone to error than phone or mail since there isn't a human being writing or saying a product number and quantity with another human being entering that information into the system. Not to mention that I get an e-mail copy of my order for reference, and e-mail status reports as items are shipped. Ken Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada, Inc.
