If you want to see what users are signing on by ip address, you can set up a termination exit point program for the telnet server that will log all the accesses to the telnet server recording the virtual display device, ip, port. If you would like to filter on an ip address, you can use the initialization exit point for telnet server. To get user exit programs for telnet server, Use the AS/400 technical studio web server. There is a save file with sample initialization and termination exit programs. http://www.as400.ibm.com/tstudio/tech_ref/tcp/indexfr.htm Richard G. Hartmann AS/400 TCP/IP, Telnet Server/Client, Workstation Gateway, Print Server development Internet e-mail: rgh@us.ibm.com - -----Original Message----- From: MaryLou Atwell [mailto:matwell@interboro.k12.pa.us] Everyone, I'm in the need to set up a program on my machine to find out what time and which users at one building actually sign on and then sign off the AS/400. I can find this information thru the "DSPLOG" command with one message ID#CPIAD12, This lists the IP address of the machine that these users are using. However, I need to filter it to the one set of IP addresses. We have the building coded with IP #'s with one range of IP #'s. I went to run a query, but I'm not sure what LIbraray to look for this information in, or if that is the way to go Any help on this is really appreciated... And I decided to try you folks first before I get lost in the phone number haze that is now IBM help line...
