Nope.

I just tested it on two more boxes (that's four total).  One was V4R4 (model
720 with nothing else running on it) and the other as V4R3 model 50S.

They both did the *IDX on the logical that was built over it.  The file
orginally had 124k records.  I copied the file to a temp file, then copied
the temp file to the orig. file with *ADD.

It took about 3 seconds to add, and did an *IDX for about 7 seconds.  Not
bad.  Then I added one record with UPDDTA.  The update was immediate.

So, i have one V4R4 box that works fine (under no load), and 2 v4R4 boxes
that seem to index for a long time (under heavy/average load).

That's what I have found so far.
