Re: XML and AS/400

Exactly, we have been through this before java is not the best tool for
every job. 
I am with Hans, programmers should learn these languages just in case
but I can't think of a good place to use java, RPG does everything I
need to do on the 400 with no sweat. 
Tell ya what, you write a quick dirty java app to update a few records,
and I will write a quick dirty RPG app to do the same and lets see who
makes it to tea first. 
By the same token there are places where writing an app in straight RPG
is becoming foolish simply, because there are better tools for the job.
