If you must try to save on memory would suggest:
1.      Turning your machine off.  (I know someone that didn't)
2.      Removing some memory you currently are running with.
3.      Taking it to Best Buy and having them test it.
They will test it for free and let you know exactly what it is and how 
fast it is.  Then you can compare the specs.
