I've never seen that happen before - Anytime I've done re-org, the reduced
size showed up in PRTDSKINF and in DSPOBJD as well as DSPFD. Any idea what
circumstances caused the situation you describe?

I seem to have some foggy recollection that a file object will not release
the
allocation of disk space after the file is made smaller. It is like the
machine
reserves space for an object that was once large and is now smaller.

I know that the displayed object size is smaller after a reorg, but does
PRTDSKINF reflect this for related objects?

I just can't remember the context of this memory other than that I think it
was
a logical file.

Thanks,
