>I have a problem with ddm connections. When any user uses ddm connection, the session seems to be active although the >user ends his work about ddm and starts any other pgm . Session only ends when user sign off , run rclrsc command or >change the DDM Conversation parameter to "*DROP" with chgjob. >When I lookup job definition of any active job I see DDM Conversation is *KEEP by default. >I want that parameter to be *DROP by default but I couldn't find where I can change. I beleive u have answered your own question - before calling your program which opens the DDMFile, do a CHGJOB DDMCNV(*DROP) which should close down the connection when the file is closed. Or have I missed the point? The time taken to initiate the connection is not too quick so keeping the connection up as long as possible is prferable. It would be qute useful if there was a timeout function so that during a quiet period, the connection would close automatically.
