LS, NT is just a tool. And so is our beloved AS/400. If you choose to not use all of the tools at your disposal, cool. Your customers will become my customers. Regarding Exchange server vs AS/400 SMTP, from what I have heard the AS/400 SMTP pretty much sucks. And MS Exchange is very good. Use the best tool for the job. In this case, it is NT. The discussion is not about data base applications. Regards, Bob Crothers -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of L. S. As for data base applications, there is little or no data base server administration on the AS/400 compared to the mountains of work it takes to keep the BSOD at bay with WinXXX. Take the average AS/400 and the average NT box and compare uptime. NT is a cute little OS, but nowhere near as solid as OS/400 never has been and never will.
