First of all do a :

DSPTAP DEV(TAP01) DATA(*SAVRST)

Should the command fail, its probably either a saved at a newer
release or not a SAVe/ReSTore format or your tape device cannot
read it.
Using the DSPTAP command without the DATA(*SAVRST) gives much less
info to help you.

Anyway, hopefully at this point you will see the following display or similar.
Note that it shows what objects are on the tape (files programs etc).

Now note the Save command used - if it was saved using SAVOBJ then you can only
use SAVOBJ
to restore the details, otherwise you can use RSTOBJ (library must already exist
 on your system
to use this command) or RSTLIB (which will restore the library)

Library . . . . . . : SAVEDLIB Release level . . . : V4R3M0
ASP . . . . . . . . : 1 File sequence . . . : 1
Volume ID . . . . . : 156 Data compressed . . : No
Expiration date . . : 05/03/00 Data compacted . . . : Yes
Save command . . . . : SAVOBJ Objects displayed . : 1
Save active . . . . : *NO Objects saved . . . : 1
File label ID . . . : SAVELIB Access paths . . . . : 0
Save date/time . . . : 20/02/00 15:14:55

Type options, press Enter.
5=Display saved data base file members

Opt Object Type Attribute Owner Size Data
 _ FILE *FILE PF-DTA QPGMR 20996096 YES
PGM *PGM RPG QPGMR 125212 NO

I suspect that if your first file is label QTEMP, then this is the library
QTEMP. Its best not to restore
system libraries so you had best do a RSTOBJ command.

RSTOBJ OBJ(*ALL) SAVLIB(QTEMP) DEV(TAP01) RSTLIB({restore to lib})

the RSTLIB parameter is optional - if not speciied, the objects will be restored
 back to QTEMP
library (best not run this in batch eh ?)

Hope this helps.

Mike
