Most fun and challenging?  Calculating and applying Volume Correction
Factors for crude oil sales.  S/34.  RPG II.  Calculations required 10
decimal places (simple but neat trick, that one).  There was a sample
fortran program that someone else in the shop spent three months trying
to convert to RPG.  He gave up.  I took the formula (It was defined
really nice, step by step, half adjust here, truncate here, etc) and
wrote it in RPG II in about 3 days.  Worked perfectly.

[Background: Crude oil is quoted at a price per barrel, 60 degrees Far
temp, 60 degrees specific gravity.  When you pump it out of a storage
tank, it is never either the temp or SG, so the volume is "corrected" to
standard for payment.]
