<sheepish grin> I knew this acronym would trigger a question or two.

Using "IKTAN" was sort of an inside joke to (former IBMer) Jon Paris --
it stands for "I Know This Ain't NITPICK".

When VM ruled the world of IBM, there were a bunch of company-wide,
internal-only discussion forums on VM. One of the forums was NITPICK
FORUM, in which appenders would criticize anything anyone wrote, for the
most ridiculously minor reasons. It became sort of a game. For all I
know, it's still out there (though I couldn't find it just now).

So, basically, saying IKTAN is the same as saying, "This is a trivial
point or correction, of no real consequence, but..."

Bottom line, your acronym database isn't broken -- I sorta "cheated." *8-)
